PICT Education

PICT’s commitment to education is reflected in the outstanding programming we offer for students and teachers in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. The Learning in Three Acts program gives teachers the opportunity to engage, challenge and entertain their students while connecting them to great works of literature. Our matinee performances bring students to the theatre to experience world-class productions and see how what they read on the page translates to the stage. We also bring actors to the schools through the Classics Alive! and PICT on Tour programs.

The 2008 season features student matinee performances of two adaptations of great works of literature: Fydor Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment by Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus and Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre by Alan Stanford.

Funding for PICT's Education Programs is generously provided by the Allegheny Regional Asset District,  Frick Fund of the Buhl Foundation, Grable Foundation, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, H. Glenn Sample Jr., MD Memorial Fund  through the PNC Advisors Charitable Trust Committee.
